Lavaca County Ag Day at the Big Red Barn

Fourth and fifth graders from across the county met up at Big Red Barn in Seguin on Tuesday and Wednesday last week.

Oct. 4-5, as part of the Lavaca County Ag Day at the Big Red Barn in Seguin. 

The students took part in all sorts of activities as they learned about building a healthy plate at the nutrition station, ways to use corn and other field crops, and about cotton production. 

GVEC talked about energy and how to conserve it using renewable resources, and the students saw a presentation on milk production—from cow to store.
