Lions Club Arts/Crafts Show Sunday
The Hallettsville Lions Club will hold its 44th annual Arts and Crafts show this Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.
This year’s show will follow the same format as last year with a number of activities offered for both adults and children.
A large number of vendors will be on hand offering various items for Christmas gift shopping from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Another special feature is the annual Cookie Walk that offers over 50 varieties of cookies sold by the pound.
The specialty cookies are homemade by Lions Club members and their spouses and will go on sale at 9 a.m.
At the show, there will be several free activities for children including the opportunity to meet and greet as well as have the opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus and The Grinch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition there will be children activities including face painting and other enjoyable activities throughout the day.
The show will also feature the Hallettsville Junior High band performing for a portion of the show.
The annual Lions Club pre-paid gift card giveaway amounting to $3,000 will be drawn at the end of the show.
The top prize in the gift-card give-away is valued at $1,000 with nine additional gift-card prizes ranging from $500 to $100 also offered.
Prize give-away tickets can be purchased at one for $10 or three for $25 and can be bought from any Lions Club member as well as purchasing tickets at the show on Sunday.
The drawing will take place at 2:15 p.m.
The give-away benefits Lions Club projects as well as scholarships given to local high school seniors as well as nursing students.
The Hallettsville Lions Club invites you to a day filled with many activities as well as completing your Christmas shopping.

A hamburger steak lunch and sides prepared by the Knights of Columbus will be available starting at 11 a.m.
Plates will be available for dining in the hall as well as plates to go for $13 per plate.
Those wishing to pick up plates to go will need to come inside the hall to make their purchase.
