Moulton National Night Out takes place Tuesday

Moulton Police Department invites everyone for an evening of fun as part of 2022’s National Night Out, planned 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Moulton City Park.

They’ll serve up hot dogs and refreshments all evening long, as local officers play host to an array of activities—face painting, a bouncy house, game and more—while residents do the very thing that National Night Out was intended to help foster from the start.

That is, getting to know your neighbors, while providing an easy environment for everyone to start building relationships with the folks who serve as part of the local police force.

“National Night Out would not be the success that it has come to be each year here in Moulton if it weren't for all the support we get from so many in our community,” Interim Moulton Police Chief Daniel Beyer said. “Thanks as always, and we’ll see you at the park on Tuesday!”

Anyone wishing to help with the event or make a donation toward one of the activities, is asked to swing by the Moulton Police Department, located inside Moulton City Hall, 102 Main St. in Moulton. Call (361) 798-0956 or email policechief@cityofmoulton.com for more.

Last year's National Night Out in Moulton had a very special car dedicated to Lavaca County Sheriff's Deputy Dakota Moreno, who was struck and killed while riding his motorcycle just a few days before Christmas. We shared his father's crushing story last, and because our website was not up and functional yet, this link will take you to Bobby Horecka's personal blog page
