Nov. 8 Election Calendar

    Texas voters will soon journey to polling locations and submit ballots by mail for several federal, state and local offices in the 2022 Texas Gubernatorial Election. The following list contains key dates and information concerning the Nov. 8 election for Lavaca County voters:

     

    Oct. 11: Voter registration deadline

    Prospective voters can obtain registration applications at the Lavaca County vote registrar’s office, libraries, most post offices and high schools. Voter registration applications may be completed online or via mail through a requested postage-paid application.

     

    Voter registration status is visible online at votetexas.gov.

     

    Oct. 24: Start of Early Voting

    Early voting for Lavaca County citizens will occur in the Lavaca County Courthouse Annex at 412 N. Texana St. 

     

    Oct. 28: Last day to apply for ballot by mail

    Lavaca County registered voters can request an application ]calling the elections office at

    361-798-3594 or through a written request. Further information concerning voting by mail is available in more detail online at.votetexas.gov/mobile/voting/voting-by-mail.htm

     

    Nov. 4: Last day of early voting

    Lavaca County sample ballots are available online at co.lavaca.tx.us/page/lavaca.Elections.

     

    Nov. 8: Election Day

    Election Day polling locations by precinct are listed online at co.lavaca.tx.us/page/lavaca.Elections. 

     

    Voters must bring one of seven approved forms of identification: a Texas Driver’s License, Texas Election ID Certificate, Texas Personal ID Card, Texas Handgun License, Citizenship Certificate, Military ID card or a U.S. passport.
