Rain and flash flooding hit the area ...

This pecan tree, located near the driveway at the Chris and Edita Rybak’s residence on Bowie St., was uprooted due to four-plus inches of rain that fell Tuesday, May 9  in the Hallettsville area. The approximate 50-foot tree extended across Bowie St. causing traffic to be blocked for a period of time. The City of Hallettsville street crew cleaned the debris to allow vehicle passageway to re-open.
