SCENES FROM THE MOULTON EASTER PICNIC

A fine time was indeed had by all at Sunday’s Easter Picnic in Moulton. From that stampede of Easter egg hunters following the morning mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, to the quieter times, like those shared by little Amberleigh and her mom, Renee Rother, under the shade of the big oak, or later that day at the social center, like when little Matthew Fishbeck (son of Kevin and Sherry Fishbeck and grandson to Kenneth and Kathy Fishbeck) tooled about on his new tricycle. There were treats for plant lovers, music lovers and auction lovers alike, as well as good food and good company. But stealing the show entirely was Austin muralist Blake Bermal, who in his first church mural ever, unveiled his latest work for Easter services at St. Joseph’s, the altar centerpiece painted on the ceiling above, of Jesus’ ascension. Watch for his story in a coming edition of your Moulton Eagle. Photos by Bobby Horecka
