SHCHS to celebrate Homecoming Saturday, Nov. 9
Sacred Heart Catholic High School will celebrate its 2024 homecoming on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Homecoming festivities will begin on Friday, Nov. 8 with a pep rally set for 6 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Gymnasium.
On Saturday, Nov. 9 events will start at 11:30 a.m. with a memorial Mass held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The Homecoming football game will feature the Indians squaring off against the Conroe Covenant Christian Cougars with the kickoff slated for 3 p.m.
At halftime, the Sacred Heart Band will perform and the Homecoming King and Queen candidates will be announced.
Following the game, homecoming activities will shift to the Knights of Columbus Hall where a chicken fried steak dinner with the trimmings will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Meal tickets are $13 each and can be purchased at Hoffer’s Drive In, Peoples State Bank, Lavaca Office Supply, Rainosek True Value, Sacred Heart Federal Credit Union and Sacred Heart Catholic School.
In addition to dining in for those attending the homecoming festivities, drive-thru meal-to-go will also be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Deadline for purchasing tickets for the meal is Wednesday, Nov. 6.
A private homecoming dance will take place in the hall from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. with the music provided by a D.J.
All Sacred Heart students, alumni, family and guests are invited to attend. A free will donation will be accepted.
At intermission of the dance, the crowning of the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen will be recognized along with the graduates of 1949, ‘54, ‘59, ‘64, ‘69. ‘74, ‘79, ‘84, ‘89, ‘94, ‘99, ‘2004, 2009, 2014, 2019 and 2024.
