Starkey Ranch Show Team attends GHHJA awards banquet

On Saturday, January 10, 2026,  the Starkey Ranch Show Team attended the GHHJA 2025 Awards Banquet where most of the riders were awarded final placings of the season. 
Holdyn Nevlud and The Rusty Rooster received an advancement certificate in walk/trot proving his readiness for the next level up. Dawsyn Shimek and Smart Texas received an Achievement Certificate showing she had won the Pre-Beginner Division and will be moving up to Beginner. 
Aubrey Nevlud and The Rusty Rooster won Champion overall in the Beginner Division and will be moving up to Short Stirrup. Avery Starkey and Miss Tilly won 3rd overall in the Beginner Division. Avery will be taking a step back this season to get better acquainted with her new pony. 
Dani Starkey and Miss Tilly won Reserve Champion overall in Short Stirrup Division. Dani will be taking a step back from showing to help with some of the younger horses training. Grace Nevlud and Boomerang won 6th overall in the Short Stirrup Division. Grace will be coming into the new season bringing along her new horse. 
Cade Shimek and Sniper VD Heffnick won Reserve Champion overall for the Limit Equitation and has qualified to compete in a ride off at the first show of the new season. 
Ian Darilek was becoming better acquainted with his new horse Creative Wisdom and will be joining competing in the new season. Hattie Cinadr was only able to do one show at the end of last season but she will be joining the team this season again with Boomerang.
