Wildgame supper Saturday

The annual Wild Game Supper, Big Gun and Kawasaki Mule with 12-foot trailer drawing is set to take place Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.

All foods to be served at the supper will be marinated and prepared by head cooks Robert (Bub) Henke, Too Tall Bludau, Marty Bludau and Leonard Ebner as well as the rest of the prestigious wild game chefs.

Foods on the menu include shrimp, deer, hog, dove, duck, wild rice, duck gumbo, Lavaca County sausage and wild pinto beans.

Also at the supper, a drawing for a new Kawaski Mule with a 12-foot trailer as well as a variety of 101 guns, will take place during the evening.

Tickets are available at Hoffer’s Drive-In Grocery, Rainosek’s True Value, and at the KC Hall. Tickets will also be sold at the hall on the evening of the event.

Another exciting part of the supper is the opportunity to view this year’s results of the Big Buck contest.

Doors open on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. and charge for admission is $13 that includes the supper served from 5:30 to 11 p.m.

Organizers of the event suggest you arrive early and enjoy the fellowship of old friends and new acquaintances.
