Yoakum Chamber honors community's top citizens

    The Yoakum Area Chamber of Commerce (YACC) rolled out the red carpet on Jan. 25 to honor some of city’s most beloved citizens at the 106th annual Chamber banquet at the Yoakum Community Center.

    All in attendance enjoyed a Kentucky Derby-themed event. Casino games, silent auction, live auction, social, dinner, and program were featured in the evening’s festivities.

    The following include the winners of the awards presented by the YACC.

    THE GUSTWICK AWARD

    Paul Gustwick gave unselfishly of his time, his money, and his effort to building Yoakum. In 1973, an award was created to honor his work and the presentation of the prestigious accolade continues today. The YACC honored an outstanding citizen who generously served our community, Mr. Timothy Faulkner.
