DEWITT COUNTY GRAND JURY DOLES OUT 38 INDICTMENTS

Members. of. the. De-  Witt. County. grand. jury.  handed. out. 38. felony.  indictments. in. January.  2022,.with.nine.of.the.38.  indictments coming back  as sealed indictments.  Sealed indictments are  typically issued whenever  law enforcement has not  served arrest warrants in  those cases.  Keep in mind, not every  person indicted is  necessarily guilty of the  crime(s) listed. It does  indicate, however, prosecutors  have presented  enough evidence in a case  that those serving on the  grand jury felt a trial in  the case was warranted,  at which time the courts  will determine the guilt or  innocence of the accused.  Those receiving felony  indictments were:

• Donnie Alan Brake,for controlled substance possession and six counts of sexual assault of a child.

• Jose Angel Flores, for unlawful firearm possession by a felon, habitual offender.

• Emilio Miguel Macedo, for evading arrest with a vehicle, deadly weapon notice.

• Cleofas Morale, for controlled substance in a drug free zone.

• Michael Ray Ramirez, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of property.

• Joe Rocha Jr, for intoxicated driving, repeat offender.

• Chazz Armstrong, for continuous violence against a family member.

• Melissa Gamez, for controlled substance possession in a drugfree zone.

• Latoria Herron, for controlled substance possession.

• Jovana Johnson, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of property.

• Jeffrey  Plentl, for manufacture or delivery of controlled substance.

• Raul Varela, for controlled substance possession in a drug-free zone and retaliation.

• Miguel Rojas, for evading arrest with a vehicle.

• Mary Lou Zamora, for controlled substance possession, burglary, and theft, with previous convictions.

• Manuel Garza, for burglary.

• Kristopher Ford, for bail jumping/failure to appear.

• Donald Harper, for bail jumping/failure to appear.

• Tanganyika Rolniak, for bail jumping/failure to appear.
