Since Brookshire Brothers opened

18 years ago, each week the store has

provided circular ads that have been

inserted in local newspapers.

However in today’s papers, the

grocery advertisements will be the

last time for you to find the inserts

the Tribune-Herald, Shiner Gazette,

Moulton Eagle and the Yoakum Herald-

Times.

Starting in the May 4 issue, Brookshire

Brothers circular ads that offer

weekly specials and other food items

will be missing from the papers.

According to an email the paper’s

office received from Brookshire

Brothers print media buyer, Anthony

Miranda, he said, “As the effects of

ongoing supply chain disruptions

remain prevalent throughout the

grocery industry and our economy

as a whole, it has become necessary

for Brookshire Brothers to make the

decision to implement changes to

their weekly ad distribution that will

enable them to be more nimble with

how they communicate pricing and

promotions to their shoppers.

The uncertainty of product availability

in the existing environment has

negatively altered their ability to fulfill

shopper expectations on promoted

items given the long lead time related

to the developing these promotions.”
