Many thanks, Coach Henke!

Coach Pat Henke was honored before last Friday’s game, along with his family, for his dedication and many accomplishments during his time at Sacred Heart, local booster club members reported this week.

Coach Henke coached at Sacred Heart for 41 years, accruing an impressive 295-140-1 football record.

He coached the Indians to eight state football championships and the Indianettes to nine state softball championships.

He was named TAPPS Coach of the Year, in four different years, no less.

And most importantly, he’s impacted hundreds of young lives in his years at Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart and the entire Hallettsville community will be forever thankful to Coach Henke, Gayle his bride, and the rest of the Henke family.
