Brahmas win two in AP
ARANSAS PASS – The Hallettsville Brahmas won two games in a good field of teams in the Aransas Pass Tournament over the weekend.
The Brahmas (3-5) lost two games by one point and another by two.
“We played some good people and gained plenty experience,” coach Brock Gerlich said. “District starts December 15 and we are seeking improvement with every game we play.”
One victory was a 61- 43 decision over Sinton Friday.
The Brahmas got two threes from William Mundine IV in taking a 12-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Brahmas led 26-10 at the half.
Mundine scored a game-high 16 points with 4 three-pointers.

Brahmas 55, Robstown 30
The Brahmas were up 28-10 at the half prior to out-scoring the Cottonpickers 27-10 in the final two periods in the game played Friday. Hallettsville scored 25 points in the third stanza with William Mundine IV scoring 8 of them.
Mundine led all scorers with 16 points and hit four threes.

Hardin-Jefferson held a 16-9 advantage at the end of the first period before the Brahma offense went south and the Hawks garnered a 27-13 halftime lead.
Calallen 43, Brahmas 41
The Brahmas blew a 10-point lead in losing to Calallen 43-41 Thursday.
Hallettsville had an 18-8 lead at the end of the first quarter before the Brahmas could muster just 5 points in the second stanza and the Wildcats evened the score at 23-all at the half.
The Wildcats were up 34-18 after three quarters.
Jorian Wilson led the Brahmas with 15 points.

CL 46, Brahmas 45
In its final game Saturday, Canyon Lake nipped the Brahmas, 46-45, in a game which saw a rally fall short.
The teams were tied at 22-22 at the half before being outscored 18-9 in the third quarter.
The Brahmas had a 14-6 run in the fourth, but fell short.
The Brahmas lost the game at the free throw line, making only 9 of 17 attempts while Canyon Lake was 6-for-9.
