LB extend win streak to 12

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas' win streak extended to 12 games at the expense of the Yoakum Lady bulldogs in a 53-28 victory here Friday night.

Adalyn Pohl tied a career-high with 22 points as Hallettsville advanced to 28-5 overall and 10-1 in league play.

Pohl scored 16 of her points in the second half and made 8 of 10 free throws in the contest.

The LB were ahead 15-4at the end of the first quarter.

In the second period, Layten Kolancy buried a pair of treys and Kasey Harper hit one also for a 25-13 lead at halftime.

Hallettsville began the second half with an 11-2 run fueled y Pohl's 9 points to up the lead to 40-21 heading down the home stretch.

Kasey Harper and Layten Kolancy were also in double figures with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Yoakum turned the ball over 26 times and Hallettsville 14 with 5 coming in the fourth stanza.

The Lady Brahmas beat up on Rice Consolidated for the second time this season in Altair Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Alaina Halata led the rout with 15 points.

Hallettsville scored on a passel of free throws in the first quarter to take a 15-7 lead.

The LB out-scored the Lady Raiders, 13-7 in the second period and 13-6 in the third.
