Brahmas win JV Tournament

The Brahmas JV won the championship of their own tournament with a 5-1 verdict over Geronimo Navarro Saturday.

The Brahmas scored two runs in the first on three hits and an error. Wyatt Kram doubled to lead off the frame and scored on a single by Nathan Henke. The final run scored on an error.

The Brahmas made it 3-0 in the fourth inning on a RBI single by Gavyn Chapa that scored Dylan Orsak, who had walked.

Navarro cut the lead to 3-1 prior to the Brahmas scoring two runs in the seventh inning with Weston Loudon and Henke driving in the runs with base hits.

Kram was 2-for-3 and Henke 2-for-4 with two RBI. Chapa and Kyle Svetlik added base hits.

The game took only an hour and 57 minutes.

Brahmas 13, Shiner 5

Brody Psencik and Nathan Henke both doubled in the semifinal victory over Shiner Thursday.

Wyatt Kram had two hits in three at-bats and Gavyn Chapa and Kyle Svetlik singled.
