LB lose first game before coming back to win tournament
WEIMAR – The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas finished the Weimar Tournament with an 8-0 victory over the host Lady Cats Saturday night to win the championship to move to 16-2 on the season.
Kaylie Olivarez (7-1) blanked Weimar with a one-hitter. She recorded seven strikeouts with no walks in the four-inning game.
Ella Amsden and Hanna Zachary had two hits and both doubled. Olivarez and Grace Halata also doubled and Rebecca Satsky singled.
LB 13, Cameron Yoe 1
Kaylie Olivarez, Carson Jansky and Macie Jansky all homered in the LB 8-4 victory Friday.
Madison Mikes (7-0) gave up no earned runs and allowed one walk with one strikeout in the win over Cameron Yoe Saturday.
Ella Amsden hit her first home run of the season and Carson Jansky her fifth. Amsden also doubled, Hanna Zachary doubled and tripled and Macie Jansky and Grace Halata, Madison Mikes all tripled.
Amsden was 2-for-3 with four RBI and Zachary went 3-for 3.
LB 15, Rosebud-Lott 0
Grace Halata (3-1) nohit the Lady Cougars in the three inning game striking out six with one walk.
The Lady Cougars committed seven errors to make seven runs unearned.
Macie Jansky collected five RBI and had a double and single. Kaylie Olivarez, Ella Amsden and Halata all doubled. Carson Jansky and Macie Jansky had a multihit game. Macey Pustka, Madison Mikes and Rebecca Satsky all contributed hits.
LB 8, Navarro 4
Kaylie Olivarez, Carson Jansky and Macie Jansky all homered in the LB 8-4 victory Friday.
Hallettsville led 3-2 before a five-run outburst in the bottom of the fourth inning with the highlight a three-run homer by Macie Jansky.
Winning pitcher Madison Mikes had two hits as did Carson Jansky. Grace Halata and Carson Jansky both doubled.

Bellville 3, LB 2
Lizzie Romero’s walkoff RBI single gave the Brahmanettes the 3-2 win Friday.
A misplayed fly ball with two outs led to Romero’s heroics.
Hallettsville’s offense went dormant after the first inning. The LB scored their runs in the initial inning when Rebecca Satsky singled and scored on a wild pitch. Macie Jansky singled and scored on Ella Amsden’s sacrifice fly.
The Lady Brahmas, who stranded eight runner, had a big opportunity to score in the fifth inning when Kaylie Olivarez and Amsden singled at the onset of the inning , but a fly out, infield pop up and a strikeout ended the frame.
Olivarez was the losing pitcher and struck out 10, gave up three runs (two earned) and walked two.
The LB led 2-0 prior to Ella Burnett hitting a two-run homer over the centerfield fence in the bottom of the third inning.
Hanna Zachary added a single for Hallettsville.
