Local school student enrollment numbers reported

    The 2024-25 school year started recently, with the Yoakum Independent School District and Sweet Home ISD and other schools reporting their student enrollment numbers.

    For Yoakum ISD, a total of 176 students enrolled in the Primary Annex School. For Primary School which consists of first and second grade, there were 223 students. In Intermediate School, from third to fifth grade, there were 293 students. Junior High School, or sixth to eighth grade, there were 265 students. Finally, High School had 478 students. This comes out to a total of 1,435 students. St. Joseph School in Yoakum had 126 students. Providence Christian Academy had 26 students.

    Sweet Home ISD had a total of 154 students with 96 students in Pre-Kindergarten to fourth grade and 58 students from fifth grade to eighth grade.
