Brahmas improve to 2-3 in District
Hallettsville drubbed Palacios 54-40 for their second District 25-AAA victory against three losses.
The Brahmas shot 43.7% from the field and out-rebounded the Sharks 35-16.
Hallettsville took a 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter and the margin grew to 37-26 at the half. The Brahmas out-scored the Sharks by 3 points in the final two periods.
Shane Migura had the hot hand for Hallettsville with 16 points on 10 of 11 shooting.

With an invisible lid on the basket, the Brahmas lost to Industrial 30-23 in Vanderbilt Tuesday, Nov. 7.
A bleak shooting performance by both teams kept the score very, very low.
The Brahmas managed just one field goal in the first quarter and trailed 8-2 at period’s end.
The Cobras open the third quarter with a 5-2 run for a 10-point lead. Baskets by Shane Migura and Jorian Wilson made it 14-8 at the half.
The Brahmas got 7 points from Wilson and took their first lead of the game, 20-18 going into the final eight minutes.
But the Brahmas scored just 3 points in the fourth period while Brady Koop and Ga’ziah Lopez scored 4 points apiece for the Cobras.
Wilson had a gamehigh 14 points.
