Three records fall in Brahma relays
Three records were set at the Brahma Relays Thursday.
The Brahmas set a meet record and school record in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.77 breaking the old standard of 42.44 set by Bellville in 2014. Members of the team are Mycole Pegoda, Caden Willis, Colt Edmonds and Shane Migura.
Rice’s Robert Myers threw the shot 53 feet 5 and a half inches to break the old record of 50 feet set in 20-14.
The Edna mile relay team was clocked in 3:22.89 to break the old record of 3:23.24 set by East Bernard in 2017.
The Lady Brahmas won the girls division with 141 points to second place Industriial’s 123.
First place winners for the Lady Brahmas were Elizabeth Felcman in the 1600-meter run in 5:44.24; and the 3200 in 13:09.60.
Alaina Halata won the high jump with a best of 4-10.
Madi Wagner won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.22 seconds.
Danna Jansky won the shot put with a season-best 36-8.5 inches and flung the discus 11 feet, 2 inches in winning that event.
