Brahmas double dip Tigers
The Hallettsville Brahmas swept another District 25-AAA opponent in Tidehaven last week.
The Brahmas had just four hits with two of them counting the most in a 4-1 victory over the Tigers here Tuesday, April 1.
The Brahmas (17-3, 8-0) scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Brock Bludau walked and moved to second on a wild pitch. A sacrifice bunt by Andrew George moved Bludau. Jorian Wilson hit a 3-1 pitch over the right field fence and into a stiff wind for a two-run homer and a quick 2-0 lead.
The Tigers scored a run the in second inning on an error.
The Brahmas’ final two runs came in the third inning when Bludau walked, Wilson was intentionally walked before Tanner Wagner hit a triple to right center to score both runs.
Wagner also shined bright defensively. Tidehaven had runners on second and third with two outs in the third inning when Wagner dove for a ground ball to his left and threw out the runner at first to save two runs.
Jorian Wilson (1-0) made his first start of the season and gave up three hits, a run, walked two and struck out eight in four innings.
Brock Bludau earned the save and ceded one hit, had three strikeouts and did not allow a walk.
Tidehaven stranded seven baserunners, five in scoring position.

Brahmas 10, Tidehaven 1
The Brahmas defeated Tidehaven 10-1 in El Maton Friday night.
Hudson Chenard (7-0) threw a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and a walk.
Carter Blaha swung the big bat for the Brahmas, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Jorian Wilson had two hits in two plate appearances with a double and run batted in. Tanner Wagner, Austin Henrichs and Jake Ressler hit run-scoring doubles. Brock Bludau doubled and collected four RBI.
