Marvin Jurica
Marvin Charles Jurica, 94, of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Marvin was born on March 27, 1931 in Gonzales, to the late Willie and Mary Pesek Jurica. He was raised in the Peach Creek area where he grew up on the farm and attended Kokernot School. Marvin served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He married Mildred Rose Roznovsky on October 14, 1954. Marvin and Mildred owned Parkview Beauty Salon in New Braunfels for over 35 years until their retirement. Marvin was a painter, enjoyed woodworking, found joy in gardening and had a passion for hunting. Marvin loved being at the family farm, spending time with his extended family, and never turned down a game of dominoes.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Donna Jo Jurica-Johnson; son, Mark Jurica and wife Amie; granddaughters, Reagan Johnson Parks and husband Everett, Morgan Johnson Schneider and husband Scott, Abigail Jurica and Lindsay Jurica Welch and husband Gregory; great-grandchildren, Logan Parks, Riley Parks, Wyatt Parks, Sadie Schneider, Beau Schneider and Harper Schneider.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jurica; his parents; and five brothers, Felix, Fred, Robert, Herman and Rudy.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, August 13 followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels.
Burial will immediately follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Mark Jurica, Buford Jurica, Ronnie Jurica, Everett Parks, Scott Schneider and Logan Parks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Parks, Wyatt Parks, Sadie Schneider, Beau Schneider and Harper Schneider.
Arrangements are under the care of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels or Meals on Wheels of New Braunfels.
