Ervin Flowers

Ervin Flowers, 76, of Shiner, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14 at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jasper Armwood officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue Bonnet Cemetery under the direction of Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.
Pallbearers are Steven Price, Derrick Arkadie, Chester Evans, Elvis Brooks Jr, Retavious Mathis Jr and Charles McAfee.
He was born on December 4, 1946 in Moulton, to Lewis and Lorenza Warren Flowers. He worked at Kaspar Wire Works. He was known as the BBQ man for the community. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sitting on the porch.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Mathis Flowers; daughters, Christie Flowers (Johnny) and Albernetta Kehoe (Seneca); sons, Jeremy Flowers (Julie), Ervin Flowers Jr., Reginald Flowers (Glenda) and Kenneth Mathis; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maxine McAfee, Rosie Lewis, Lucy Mae Arkadie and Mabel Wilson; and brothers, Willie Flowers, Melvin Flowers, Stell Flowers, Lewis Flowers Jr. and Thomas Flowers.
