Evelyn Denise Tousek

Evelyn Denise Tousek went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. 

She was born in Yoakum on Dec. 19, 1949 to G.D. and Jean Stevens. She was one of four siblings. 

She was a member of the Hallettsville Church of Christ. 

Denise worked as a dispatcher for the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department for many years and later she dispatched for the Yoakum Police Department. 

She is survived by a her son, Richard Dion (Nikkie Darby); her daughter, Shelly D. Stevens (fiance Terrance), and her sister, Nancy Ponton (Bo). 

She also has nine grandchildren, Christian Dion, Tyrell, Cason, Azariah, Aston, Houston, Kai, Navelli, Amber,  and three great-grandchildren, Rylee, Chanze and Cobb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Doris Jean Hadley and Joyce Heins Truett; also one grandchild, Chadwick and her husband, Don Tousek.

At her request no funeral services will be held.
