Georgie Cervenka
Georgie Cervenka was born on a farm in the central Texas community of Komensky on March 1, 1936 to August Cervenka and Viola Drozd Cervenka. She was welcomed by two brothers, Ben and Frank, an older sister, Edith, and was followed by her second sister, Bernice.
Georgie Cervenka Roznovsky passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022 at the age of 86.
Georgie was preceded in death by her parents;brothers, Ben and Frank Cervenka; daughter, Beverly Kloesel, and son, Bob Roznovsky.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy of Moulton, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Hollas of Katy, daughter-in-law, Peggy Roznovsky of Shiner, son-in-law, Gordon Kloesel of The Woodlands, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her two sisters, Edith Filip of Point Comfort and Bernice Barborak of Gonzales, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing began at 8:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton. Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial followed in the Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Randy Hollas, David Hollas, Brandon Roznovsky, Joseph Kloesel, and, grandsons by marriage, Mike McGee and Cole Walsh.
Memorials may be made in Georgie Roznovsky’s memory to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of the Diocese of Victoria and Hospice of South Texas.
