Jacob “Jake” Calvin Baker

Jacob “Jake” Calvin Baker, 26, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022. 

He was born July 12, 1996 in Houston to Clifton and Elizabeth (Anderson) Baker.

“Jake” as most people knew him, was enjoying life to the fullest. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2019 and was working a job in the Oil and Gas Industry that he enjoyed.

Survivors are his parents, Clifton and Elizabeth Baker of Hallettsville; two brothers, Cody Baker and fiancé, Jennifer Carline of Conroe and Zachary Baker of Hallettsville; grandparents, James and Myrna Anderson of Conroe and numerous friends and extended family.

Visitation began at 4:30 p.m. and continued until 6:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary Monday, Aug. 15 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum. 

 Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. 

Burial followed at Hallettsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Cody Baker, Zach Baker, James Stretcher, Jacob Schneider, Greg Myrthil, Travis Bailey and James M. Johnson IV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Endowment Fund or St. Joseph Catholic School, P.O. Box 734, Yoakum, Texas 77995.

Arrangements were entrusted to Thiele Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.
