Jo Anne Matula

Jo Anne Matula, 70, of Hallettsville, passed away Monday, Aug.7, 2023. 

 She was born on July 30, 1953 in Dallas to William Sr. and Lou Ann Myers Luehrmann in Dallas.  

On Aug. 31, 1985, she married Anthony Matula at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hallettsville.  

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Jo Anne is survived by her husband; Anthony, one brother, and two nephews.

Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation began at 9 a.m. Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass was celebrated at 1o a.m., Friday, Aug. 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic in Hallettsville. Msgr. John Peters officiated. 

Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lance Luehrmann, Travis Matula, Garrett Grahmann, Garrett Henke, Dennis Herring and Mark Brown.  

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or a charity of donor's choice.
