    John Joseph Trojcak, Jr., age 84, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024. He was born December 16, 1939, in Yoakum to the late Emma (Donnelly) and John Trojcak Sr. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation for over forty years starting out on the road crew and finishing up as the district safety coordinator. 

    He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing his accordions, telling stories, and spending time with his family. 

    Survivors: wife, Laverne (Bludau) Trojcak of Hallettsville; daughter, Karen Quinney (Jay) of Yoakum; sons, Dennis Trojcak companion Linda Duenes of Yoakum, Michael Trojcak (Robin); bonus daughter Susan Bludau Herrington of Sugar Land; grandchildren Bryan Trojcak (Breana), Payton Quinney, Kylie Quinney, Ally Trojcak and Hadley Trojcak; two bonus grandchildren Amanda Muzny (Brent) and James Herrington (Gianna) and four bonus great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Rehak (Gene) of Victoria, Delores Floyd (John). 

    Preceded in death by: wife, Rose (Stary) Trojcak; parents, John Trojcak Sr. and Emma (Trojcak) Donnelly; and brother Victor Trojcak. Visitation from 4 to 6 pm, with the Rosary recited at 6 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.

     Funeral Mass Friday, March 22, 2024, 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum with Rev. Msgr. John C. Peters officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Yoakum. 

    Pallbearers are grandsons, Bryan Trojcak, Payton Quinney and bonus grandson, James Herrington; nephews, James Machart, and Robert Pavlicek, and close family friends, Tommy Macha, David Fielder, and David Jaks. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters Kyle Quinney, Ally and Hadley Trojcak.
