Karen Ann Schreiber

Karen Ann Schreiber, 80, of Shiner, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Seguin.

A memorial service to honor Karen’s life was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27 at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Darin Zumwalt officiating.

She was born on February 10, 1942 in Bedford Heights, Ohio to Anna Rose (Girenic) Sullivan and Harold Eddy.

Karen was a loving wife to Elson Roy Schreiber for 23 years. She loved her Lord and her church. She was so proud to be a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shiner. Almost everyone she met she wanted them to be a member too. Karen served as president of UMW for many years and was very active in her church. She always had a smile for everyone know matter how she felt. In her younger years, she ran Karen’s Ceramic Shop. She then worked for Kaspar Wire Works until she retired.

Survivors include her husband, Elson Roy Schreiber of Shiner; son, Edward Thomas Ball (Kathy) of Lantana, FL; daughters, Kelly Ann Goetz (Mark) of Austin, Victoria Ann Warrington of Fort Pierce, FL and Lisa Mary Hill (Robert) of Burlington, Michigan; one brother, Edward Eddy of Shiner; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her sons, William Ball and Kevin Wayne Schreiber; daughter, Kathaleen Ann Stanley; and her parents.
