Laura Fayne Phillips Weathers

Laura Fayne Phillips Weathers was born on April 1, 1934, and passed from this world on May 24,  2023. 

She was born in Brown County, to Edith Cornett Phillips and Charles (Charlie)  Wayne Phillips.  She had two brothers, fraternal twin, Lyna (Wayne) Phillips and a younger brother, Lois (Kenneth) Phillips.   

On Feb. 26, 1955, Fayne married Bobby Wayne Weathers. 

She had two children, Barbara Janette Weathers Lewis and Larry Wayne Weathers; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and both brothers.

Fayne was a kind and loving mother and wife. Her friends counted her a trustworthy and loyal friend.  Everyone who knew Fayne loved her, and enjoyed spending time with her.  Fayne was beautiful in her outward appearance and her countenance.  Her personality was lovely, and her impact on her children and grandchildren’s lives and others was immeasurable.  She lived a life of faith and humility, always putting others above herself.

 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
