Lena Partida

Lena Partida, 92, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. 

She was born on July 6, 1931 in Hallettsville to Martin and Felipa Rivera Aldaco. 

On June 13, 1949, she married Lupe Partida in Hallettsville.  

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lena is survived by a son, Albert Partida of Hallettsville; daughters, Beatrice Ortiz and husband, Juan of La Grange, Sophie Talamantez of Houston, and Virginia Partida of Hallettsville; sister, Clara Gutierrez of Ganado; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, John Ernest Partida; infant son, Lupe Partida Jr.; son-in-law, Rudy Talamantez, and granddaughter-in-law, Donita Ortiz.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. and Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. Msgr. John Peters will officiate.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or a charity of donor's choice.
