Loraine McLerran

Loraine McLerran, 94, of Yoakum, joined her heavenly family on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
She was born October 26, 1929, in Beaumont, to the late Henry and Alphra (Myers) Burns.
Loraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was married to Lt .Cdr. Virgil Ray McLerran until his passing in 1966. She owned a successful Assisted Living Facility in El Paso.
She moved to Yoakum to help her daughter, Dr. Saundra Anderson raise her two daughters, Kendra and Kimberly Anderson. She then helped raise her great-grandson, Kendon Briar Christian in Yoakum. She celebrated this past Christmas with five generations of family enjoying all their love and laughter.
Survivors are her daughter, Dr. Saundra Anderson and husband Stacy Mueller of Yoakum; sons, Danny McLerran and wife Suzanne of Galveston and Kim McLerran and wife Kelly of Kingwood; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil McLerran; daughter, Hope Marie McLerran Moore; her parents; sisters, Ruth, Katherine, and Doris; and brothers, Nicky and Junior.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas.
