MABLE HENRY

Mable (Thigpen) Henry, 84, went home to be with her Lord on April 16.

She was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Yoakum to the late William Clifton and Clara Emily Barton (Bishop) Thigpen. She was devoted to her family and friends in her loving, caring, and kind way. She valued everything in her life and treasured anything ever given to her.

Survivors are her daughter, Damaris Moore of Yoakum and son, Garland W. Henry of Yoakum; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Garland L. Henry; daughters, Cynthia Ward and Ramona Koenning; grandsons, Seth Ward and infant William Trey Ward; a sister, Marion Kaiser Jones; and a brother, Owen Thigpen.

A visitation will be 2-3 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m. today at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Williams officiating. The burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

The pallbearers include John Koenning, Chance Koenning, Jason Henry, Derrek Ward, Larry Brown, and Harold Miller.
