Mary Gallia

Mary Jane Gallia, 103, of Shiner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Mass and burial were held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Lenert Heiman Jr., Wayne Heiman, David Heiman, Craig Heiman, Casey Goodman and Colton Machart.
Mary spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, doing laundry and gardening. Mary worked at Weingarten Packing in Hallettsville, Stevens Nursing and Rehab and was a caregiver for Shiner residents. She would take an extra shift or work overtime to help her friends or co-workers.
Survivors include her daughters, Anna Lois Goodman and Irene Heiman; grandchildren, Lenert Heiman Jr., Julia Machart, Wayne Heiman, David Heiman, Casey Goodman and Laurie Accola; great-grandchildren, Garrett Heiman, Halea Heiman, Faith Machart, Colton Machart, Emma Accola, Kate Accola, Eva Accola; and great-great-grandchild, Bristol Bo Whitefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Agnes Recek Drexler; sons, Adolph Gallia Jr. and Robert James Gallia; and brothers, Louis Drexler and Joe Drexler.
