Michael Edwin Jurena

Michael Edwin Jurena, age 66, passed away Aug. 25.

He was born April 7, 1956 in Yoakum to Clement and Frances Vank Jurena.

He was a heavy equipment operator and a rancher. He had a great love for his dogs, liked operating heavy equipment, and loved to talk and visit with people.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Silka Jurena; sons, Jared Jurena and Cullen Jurena; and brother, Bernard Jurena (Nancy).

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Jurena.

A visitation and Rosary were held Aug. 30 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.

A memorial funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cuero Pet Adoption, St. Mary's Altar Society, or St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
