Robert A. Nevlud Sr.

Robert Anthony Nevlud Sr., 79, of Shiner, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.
A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 16 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Odartey-Lamptey officiating.
Burial will follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.
Pallbearers are Matthew Mascheck, Ethan Nevlud, Nicholas Nevlud, Connor Winkenwerder, Colton Winkenwerder, Justin Hanson, Austin Hill and Robert Salit.   
He was born on June 6, 1943 in Wied, to Louis and Rosie Janak Nevlud.
He worked for 40 years at Circle Y Saddlery in Yoakum and was a supervisor in the Saddle department. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, the K.J.T. and served 15 years as a Shiner Volunteer Firefighter. He was a true family man. Robert married the love of his life, Martha (Margie) Ann Veit on April 27, 1963. They were married for over 59 wonderful and blessed years.
One of Robert’s greatest accomplishments was being a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a drummer and singer with his father in the Louis Nevlud Orchestra. He was an avid fan of the Shiner Comanches, Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Veit Nevlud; two daughters, Brenda Mascheck (Lynn) and Dawn Winkenwerder (Kyle), all of Shiner; two sons, Robert Nevlud Jr. (Glenda) and Bradley Nevlud (Lynn), all of Shiner; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Kurtz (Lawrence) of Shiner, Helen Spann of Shiner and Rosalie Phillips (Emmitt) of Victoria; and one brother, Alois Nevlud (Virginia) of Shiner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Louis Spann.
