Rose Mraz

Rose Mraz, age 73, passed away Aug. 29. She was born Dec. 23, 1948 in Yoakum to Edmund and Anna Mae Ward Friedel.

She was a bookkeeper and a Catholic. She was a devout Christian. She cherished her quality family time, loved working her pecan orchard, looking after her grandchildren, and traveling- especially to Colorado.

Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Mraz (Angela) of Pleasanton, Robert Mraz (Agnes) of Yoakum and Randy Mraz (Rebecca Fay) of Shiner; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Lee Mraz; grandson, Hunter Mraz; sisters, Olga Zinke and Barbara Tiller; and brother, Edmund "Johnny" Friedel.

A Rosary was held Sept. 2 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass was held Sept. 3 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial was at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery.

The pallbearers included Robert Mraz, Randy Mraz, Robert Mraz Jr., Wesley Pauler, Jordan McNeese, Joey Rodriguez, and Caleb Mraz.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Ann's Catholic Church.
