Rusty Tronicek

Kenneth “Rusty” Tronicek, Jr., 57, of Shiner, passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 7, 2022, while guiding a hunt in Colorado at one of his favorite places, Cotton Mesa Ranch.

He was born November 10, 1964, in Shiner to Kenneth and Judy (Greive) Tronicek.

Rusty can only be described as an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather "Grump", and friend to everyone he met. He had a heart of gold, was quick-witted, and had an unforgettable laugh and the most beautiful smile. He was an avid fisherman and hunting guide and probably one of the best at what he did. His joy came from seeing the smiles of his clients (most became more like family) and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He was a good man offshore and on land.

Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Shannon (Norwood) Tronicek of Shiner; daughters, Sarah Tronicek and Emma Tronicek; son, Eli Tronicek, all of Shiner; grandson, Brannigan Tronicek; mother, Judy Tronicek of Shiner; sister, Tracey Chudej, husband Chris and daughters Katie and Hanna, of Mountain Home, AR.; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Debbie Norwood of Manvel, Texas.

Preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Tronicek.

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 16 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Shiner Volunteer Fire Dept., Shiner FFA or POC Volunteer Fire Dept.

Arrangements by Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, 361-293-5656.
