8U All-Stars 2-0 in Special Tournament

The Hallettsville 8U All-Stars stayed undefeated in the District 31 Special Tournament in Yoakum.

Hallettsville defeated Shiner Monday night, 8-2, to move to 2-0 in the tournament.

Hallettsville took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on three hits and an error. Rhett Sklar and Asher Spring hit run-scoring singles. Sklar eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Shiner cut the lead to 3-1 iwht a run in the bottom of the second.

After going up 4-1, Hallettsville broke the game open with a four-run fourth inning.

Sklar singled and Wes Prasek doubled in the inning. 

Sklar and Wes Prasek produced two hits each. Sklar scored two runs, Wes Prasek, Cru Prasek and Kender Zidek one each.

Dante Gallegos started on the mound for Hallettsville and was relieved by Harper and Grayson Fletcher.
