8u baseball rules District 31
CANYON LAKE – The Hallettsville 8U All-Stars won the Special District 31 championship with a walk-off 7-6 victory over New Braunfels Blue to two sweep the best-of-three series Saturday night.
Hallettsville trailed 6-5 entering its last at-bat before rallying for two runs with Jase New’s triple knocking in the tying and winning runs.
Kolter Tesch drove in a run with a third inning hit.
Bear Pasak was the starting pitcher and worked two and two-thirds innings. He ceded three runs, seven hits and recorded six strikeouts with no walks.
Taft Johnson finished up and allowed three runs and stuck-out two to get the win.
Hallettsville had 15 hits in the game with all players on the roster contributing.
All-Stars 10, NB Blue 8
The All-Stars fended off and eleventh hour rally to defeat New Braunfels Blue, 10-8, in Cuero Friday night.
8s 11, Cuero 5
Hallettsville defeated Cuero 11-5 to clinch the East Zone championship Wednesday, June 7 in Cuero.
The locals scored five runs in both the first and third innings and one in the second frame.
Jase New doubled with one out in the initial inning and scored on a single by Bear Pasak. Taft Johnson singled and Pasak scored on a single by Brantley Grahmann. Johnson scored on a wild pitch and was driven to the plate on single by Pustejovsky.
In the second inning, Blake Cliffe led off with a single and scored on a base hit by Caston Dworsky.
Pustejovsky smacked a two-run double in the third inning, a triple by New scored Drew Cliffe and Colter Tesch produced a RBI single.
New was 2-for-2 with a double and triple and Pustejovsky was also 2-for- 2 with three RBI.
