Bucs defeat Indians
SUGAR LAND – The Sacred Heart Indians’ season came to an end with an 89-32 loss to Galveston O’Connell in a TAPPS Division IV regional finals game at B.F. Terry High School Saturday.
The Buccaneers took a 24-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and were never headed.
Andrew Steffek scored 18 points in a losing effort for the Indians.

The Indians rode a 35-point performance by Andrew Steffek to a 74-61 victory over Conroe Calvary First Baptist Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Conroe. Hudson Kutac chipped in with 16 points.
The Eagles (23-6) took a 22-19 lead at the end of a high-scoring first quarter. Hudson Hargrove 14 points in the period for the Eagles and Steffek 15 for the Indians.
The Indians had an 18-15 run in the second stanza to tie the score at 17-all at the half.
The second half proved to be the downfall of the Eagles.
Ty Noska hit two treys, Kutac a three and Steffek 6 points during a 19-7 run in the third period for a 56-46 advantage going into the fourth.
Kutac sparked the fourth period with 7 points to widen the gap to the final score.
Hargrove led the Eagles with Eagles with 17 points.
