  The Bulldogs Baseball Team had another close game with a win over Industrial before winning over Rice Consolidated.

YOAKUM 4, INDUSTRIAL 2

The Bulldogs came back from a 2-1 deficit in the sixth inning with three runs for a 4-2 win at Industrial April 12.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning and the Cobras grabbed it right back with two runs in the bottom of the frame.

Brayden Goode picked up the win with five innings pitched, two runs, three hits, two walks, and 11 strikeouts. Slayde Rice worked two innings with one save, two hits, and one strikeout.

Connor Zaruba and Ethan Franklin each got two hits. Tre Robbins picked up a double.

In the field, Connor Zaruba made four putouts.

Zaruba and Julian Estrada paired up to limit Rice to two hits and no runs while getting eight strikeouts in a 27-0 win April 14 at Rice.

The Bulldogs scored six in the first and second frames, added four runs in the third and brought in 11 runs in the fourth inning.

At the plate, Will Robbins got four hits, three runs, and four RBIs. Rice got three hits, three runs, and a double, plus four RBIs. Goode also got three hits and three runs with four RBIs.

In the field, Goode had five putouts.
