Bulldogs win against two teams

    The Yoakum High Schhol Boys Basketball Team outscored the Brahmas 27-23 in the second half to take a 45-43 win.

    The Brahmas led 8-6 after one quarter and 20- 18 at halftime after both teams recorded 12 points in the second quarter.

    The Bulldogs had the lead in the third quarter with a 14-6 run and endured the Brahmas’ 17-13 fourth-quarter run.

    X'Zavier Barnett led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Zach Taylor made 13 points and three triples with Isaac Martinez netting a dozen points.

    Jorian Wilson recorded 12 points to lead the Brahmas.

    The Bulldogs defeated Columbus 59-41 at home Jan. 23.

    The Bulldogs led 11-3 at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Cardinals 14-8 in the second quarter for a 25-11 halftime lead.

    The Bulldogs led 44- 23 after the third quarter ended and outscored the Cardinals 15-8 in the fourth quarter.
