A-D, A-S Indians
The Sacred Heart Indians had four all-state players and one honorable mention on the TAPPS Division IV allstate baseball team.
Josh Terry and Ty Noska were first team allstate selections, Layne Sevcik and Wade Shimek were on the second team and Emerson Harvey was honorable.
All-district picks were Hudson Kutac and second team all-district were Klayton Chance and Dillon Goedrich.
• Josh Terry Led the team in hitting (.434), RBI (28), stolen bases (14) and extra base hits (11). Terry was the shortstop and also pitched.
• Ty Noska Hit .425 hitter and led the team in runs scored with 32. He also drove in 13 runs. He had the best on base average on the team at .617.
• Wade Shimek Hit the only home run for the Indians. He batted .339 and scored 17 runs and was second on the team in RBI with 24.
• Layne Sevcik Was the bell cow of the pitching staff with a 2.44 ERA and an 8-3 record. He struck out 76 batters in 63 innings. At the plate, Sevcik was a .328 hitter with 17 RBI. He pitched no-hitters in the area and regional round of the playoff.
• Emerson Harvey Batted .436 with an on basepercentageof.457. He was third on the team in runs scored with 26.
