Four Lady Brahmas, Coach honored by Texas High School Girls Coaches Association

Post season awards from the Texas Girls Coaches Association have been coming in for the Lady Brahmas and their coach.

Four Lady Brahmas were named All State and coach Callie Kresta the Coach of the Year for Classes 1A-2A-3A. Kresta has fashioned a 140- 23 ledger in her five years in Hallettsville.

Pitcher-infielder Kaylie Olivarez, outfielder Hanna Zachary, third baseman Carson Jansky and catcher Macie Jansky gained all-state honors.

Zachary hit .599 with a .623 on base average and scored 73 runs, all team highs.

Macie Jansky led the team with 16 home runs and 85 runs batted in and while hitting .579.

Carson Jansky homered 13 times and drove in 82 runs while batting .540.

Olivarez was 16-2 in the circle and was a .457 hitter with eight home runs.

Macie Jansky and Olivarez are seniors and Zachary and Carson Jansky juniors.
