Hallettsville, Shiner Gray tie in Jr. League action

    Hallettsville and Shiner Gray fought to a 2-2 tie in a Jr. League game here Tuesday, May 20.

    Hallettsville (3-1-1) had a passel of errors in the game which didn’t help its cause any.

    Hallettsville wasted a scoring chance after Adam Halata and Will Halata singled with two outs in the first inning, but were left stranded.

    Shiner took a 1-0 lead the second inning.

    Ty Rother walked in the second inning prior to scoring on an error.

    Shiner took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning and Hallettsville tied the game at 2-all on a runscoring single by Easton New.

    In the seventh inning. Adam Halata singled with two outs.

    Adam Halata was 2-for-3 and Ty Henneke and Brax Hearn also had hits.
