Indianettes bomb Van Vleck, fall to St. Joseph

The Sacred Heart Indianettes split a pair of games this past week pounding out a 17-6 win over Van Vleck , but falling to Victoria St. Joseph, 8-2.

The Indianettes traveled to Van Vleck Friday afternoon and broke out the big bats beating the Van Vleck Lady Leopards 17 to 6.

Five Indianettes had multiple hits in leading the 14- hit attack, that included two homeruns.

Rylan Dworsky was the big gun for Sacred Heart hitting a round-tripper and double and driving in four total runs.

Avery Beach was perfect at the plate with a 3 for 3 performance and also scoring 3 runs as well as driving in one. Kennedy Zappe also went 2 for 2 and scored one time.

Other Indianettes having multiple hits in the game were Kenzie Chance with two singles and scoring four runs, along with Ainsley Grahmann collecting two singles, driving in two and scoring once.

Karly Kostelnik’s bombed a grand slam homerun, while Ella Demel hit safely along with driving three runs and scoring one time.

Kinley Migl picked up a single and scored twice.

Avery Beach performed in the circle giving up six runs, seven hits in the five inning game called due to the mercy rule.

Kylie Sazera led Van Vleck with a 3 for 3 performance including a double, an RBI and scoring two runs.

The Indianettes fell to Victoria St. Joseph, 8-2, Friday evening, March 14 in a game played in Hallettsville.

Sacred Heart picked up 8 hits in the contest with Kenzie Chance, Rylan Dworsky and Ainsley Grahmann each getting two hits each.

Chance, Kinley Migl and Avery Beach all doubled in the game, while Grahmann and Dworsky each had an RBI .

The Flyers were led by Shayne Meismer, who gathered two hits including a home-run and two runs batted in.
