Indianettes compete in Schulenburg Tournament

Sacred Heart competed in the Schulenburg Tournament Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“ We played well Thursday,” head coach Wanda Orsak said. “We never had the intensity and energy Friday and Saturday.”

The Indianettes, (5- 11)will play in the Rice Consolidated Tournament Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Indianettes swept Brazos Thursday in pool play.

Kenzie Chance had 10 kills and two aces and Rylan Dworsky nine kills and an ace.

Shiner .................. 25 25

In a close match Thursday, the Indianettes fell to Shiner for the second time in two days.

Rylan Dworsky led the stat sheet with four kills, two blocks and nine digs and Ella Demel served two aces.

Layne Besetzny produced five kills and had a block in the loss to Columbus Thursday.

In pool play Friday, SH lost to state-ranked Schulenburg

Also on Friday, the Indianettes were swept by Weimar.

Rylan Dworsky produced 3 kills and three assists in the loss.

The Indianettes came back from a set down to defeat Flatonia Thursday.

Layne Besetzny and Rylan Dworsky had six kills each to lead the victory. Dworsky also had three blocks and Besetzny two and Ella Demel nine digs.

Sacred Heart ........ 14 20

Rylan Dworsky had 13 kills in defeat for the Indianettes. Kenzie Chance had 10 assists and Ella Demel 14 digs in the match Saturday.
