Indianettes lose season opener

    Turnovers told the tale of Yoakum’s 50-34 victory over Sacred Heart in the season opener for the Indianettes here Tuesday, Nov. 19.

    SH could not get out of its own way with 41 turnovers in the contest to Yoakum’s 20.

    The difference was the Lady Bulldogs had just 6 floor errors in the second half.

    The Indianettes led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter before Yoakum put it in overdrive with 11 points in a row to end the second period.

    The Indianettes trimmed the lead to 30- 28 to open the second half prior to Yoakum finishing the game with a 20-6 run.

    Kaycee Schindler scored a game-high 10 point for SH.
