It started raining at the end of the Victoria Cobra-Sacred Heart Indian game, but as far as the Cobras were concerned, it rained the entire game.
The Indians defeated the Cobras 11-1 in five innings here Monday, March 4.
The Indians pretty much scored at will, collecting 11 hits to go along with four walks and a hit batter.
Emerson Harvey got the Indians off to a good start with a lead-off triple in the bottom of the first inning and scored on a wild pitch. Josh Terry doubled with one out and Wade Shimek knocked him in with a base knock.
Run-scoring singles by Ty Noska and Terry in the second inning made it 5-0.
Hudson Kutac scored on a wild pitch in the third inning.
The Indians really pulled away with a fiverun fourth. Two runs came across on wild pitches.
The Tribe had nine hits and the Cobras two.
Kellen Mechura was the starting and winning pitcher. He worked three-plus innings and ceded no runs, one hit and fanned six.
Terry was three-forfour with two RBI and Shimek and Mechura had two hits apiece.
